The AGN, founded in 2003, is a non-profit foundation for all individuals and organizations who subscribe to the mission and goals of the Global Network.
After years of consultation and discussion the need for an international body to represent AD/HD on a global platform came to fruition on 5th June 2005, when The AD/HD Global Network was formally registered in the Netherlands. The Network was subsequently registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce and is subject to Dutch Law.
The Global Network exists to improve the quality of life of those who are affected by AD/HD by: Assuring that AD/HD is a globally recognized and treated condition; Act as an electronic clearing house of scientifically based articles and information in multiple languages; Hosting global AD/HD advocacy meetings and training opportunities.
The Network welcomes all those individuals and organizations who subscribe to these goals. We seek and welcome those who will assist us in our work.
The Network recognizes and is grateful for the assistance of its Strategic Consultant Dr. Glenna Crooks of Strategic Health Policy International and its Legal Counsel Mr. Jay Gerzog from Epstein Becker & Green whose advice and expertise was invaluable in the establishment of the Network.
The concept of a Global Network was first mooted by Professor Russell Barkley and through the generous support of Eli Lilly & Co has become a reality with the potential of addressing the challenges faced by those with AD/HD globally.
